Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing on Shared Human Resource and Payroll Services

De La Salle Brothers, Inc. (DLSBI), De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (Benilde), La Salle Green Hills (LSGH), and De La Salle Lipa (DLSL), continue to strengthen collaboration across the Lasallian network through a shared services model that maximizes institutional expertise in human resource and payroll administration.

This commitment was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between DLSBI and Benilde, held at the Office of the President Boardroom of La Salle Green Hills.

Representing De La Salle Brothers, Inc. (DLSBI) were Br. Marvin Sipin FSC, Edgar Chua ASFC, and Jose Ramelle Javier. Joining them were Benilde Chancellor Benhur Ong and Director of the People and Organization Development Office Chona Rodulfa for the formal signing of the Memorandum of Agreement.

The agreement reflects a collaborative effort among institutions within the De La Salle Philippines network, strengthening partnerships through shared expertise and resources. By advancing a shared services model, the participating institutions contribute to the goal of De La Salle Philippines of fostering greater collaboration, operational excellence, and unity across the Lasallian network in service of its shared mission.

The Indigenous Peoples Education (IPEd) Program

The Indigenous Peoples Education (IPEd) Program of the De La Salle Brothers Inc., in partnership with the University of the Philippines (UP) Education Research Program, successfully conducted the Teacher Training on the TuklasBasa Literacy Assessment and Intervention Program on 28–30 May 2026 for teachers from participating partner schools.

The three-day training supported teachers in strengthening their knowledge and skills in assessing learners' reading abilities and implementing appropriate literacy interventions to support improved reading outcomes among learners. Through sessions on literacy assessment, learner profiling, and intervention planning, participants explored ways to provide more responsive and evidence-based literacy support in their schools and communities.

The training brought together teachers from Sentrong Paaralan ng mga Agta (SPA), Paaralang Mangyan na Angkop sa Kulturang Aalagaan (PAMANA KA), Malita Tagakaulo Mission (MATAMIS) Indigenous Peoples Schools, and Pagadalan Dagiti Agta iti Sta. Ana (PAG-ASACA), fostering shared learning and collaboration among educators serving Indigenous communities across the country.

At the Sector Mission Assembly Philippines 2026, bringing together school representatives from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, alongside our Council, Commissions, and DLSP Lasallian Partners, Volunteers and Brothers, we are challenged to look toward the peripheries—the margins, the overlooked, and the underserved.

Reliving the National Lasallian Volunteers Camp 2026: A Journey of Faith, Service, and Community

National Lasallian Volunteers Camp 2026

Holy Spirit Retreat Haus, Tagaytay City, Cavite

From 19 to 22 March 2026, young Lasallian Volunteers from across the network gathered at the Holy Spirit Retreat Haus for the National Lasallian Volunteers Camp (NLVC) 2026, a four-day formation experience centered on Faith, Service, and Community. Organized in collaboration with the De La Salle Brothers, Inc. (DLSBI), Social Action Unit (SAU) and the Lasallian Mission Services (LMS) office. The camp brought together student volunteers and adult companions in a shared journey of reflection, engagement, and mission.

The camp formally began with opening remarks from Ms. Banny Limbo, who welcomed the participants and set the tone for the days ahead, followed by an orientation on the retreat house and community life by Sr. Angel Libron. The first day continued with community-building activities and the session Lasallian Reflection 11: “All is Connected: The Community of Creation and Universal Fraternity,” facilitated by Mr. Andyo Abusmas. Participants reflected on their role within the wider community of creation and prepared for the succeeding activities through personal journaling.

Day 2 focused on deepening the Lasallian foundations for volunteerism, anchored on the life of St. John Baptist de La Salle. Through a session led by Br. Jeanoel Endaya, FSC, participants explored how the founder’s life continues to shape the Lasallian Mission today. This was followed by Stories of Lasallian Volunteers, where various resource persons including indigenous peoples’ volunteers, field coordinators, and youth missionaries shared their lived experiences in service. These narratives enriched the participants’ understanding of volunteerism as a concrete expression of faith in action.

On Day 3, the young Lasallian Volunteers immersed themselves in the Hope In Me Club Foundation community. They spent the day engaging with children through fun activities and games, creating moments of joy and connection. Some volunteers also supported community efforts by assisting in the clinic. The experience allowed them to better understand the community while building meaningful relationships. The day ended with a processing session where participants reflected on their insights and learnings from the immersion.

The camp concluded with a closing program and fellowship night, celebrating the shared journey and strengthened sense of community. NLVC 2026 served as a meaningful formation experience, reminding participants that volunteerism is rooted in faith and expressed through service and solidarity. Made possible by the dedication of the adult companions, facilitators, and partner offices, the camp sent forth a new generation of young Lasallian Volunteers ready to build communities and keep the Lasallian spirit alive.
