Standing with Learners in the Holy Land: Brother Peter Bray FSC Reflects on Education and Faith

Common Home TV has released the first episode of a new four-part series, In the Shadow of the Holy Land, beginning with a featured interview with Brother Peter Bray FSC, former Vice-Chancellor of Bethlehem University.

The episode, “Education Under Occupation,” reflects on Brother Peter’s fifteen years of leadership leading in a Catholic University where students regularly navigated checkpoints and restrictions simply to pursue their education. His reflections speak deeply to of our shared Lasallian mission — standing with those on the margins, accompanying learners in fragile contexts, and recognising education as a powerful force for human dignity, transformation, and hope.

We believe this episode will resonate with students, faculty, staff, and wider communities connected to Lasallian schools, ministries, archives, universities, and formation houses. It offers a compelling resource for reflection, formation, and dialogue, inviting us to listen attentively to voices shaped by faith, perseverance, and a commitment to peace.
