Young Lasallians from across the De La Salle Philippines network came together for the 2026 Lasallian Youth Congress, a five-day formation experience centered on faith, leadership, service, vocation, and nation-building. Guided by the theme MaLAYAng Lasalyano, the Congress envisioned young people who are grounded in faith, empowered by community, responsive to vocation, and committed to serving others. Delegates included representatives from Samahang Lasalyano, the Young Leaders’ Circle, as well as athletes, student journalists, scholars, artists, aspirants of the De La Salle Brothers, and other youth groups.

The Congress opened with Sandigan: Anchoring Our Service in the Life of the Founder and Core Lasallian Values and Siklab: From One School to One La Salle Network, inviting delegates to reflect on the foundations of their service and their place within the wider Lasallian community.

On the second day, Kaisa: The Role of Young People in Intergenerational Nationbuilding broadened the conversation on youth participation and the role of young people in contributing to their communities and to nation-building. This was followed by the launching of the Lasallian Youth Agenda (LAYA), a strategic roadmap for youth formation, leadership development, and social engagement developed through consultations across Lasallian institutions nationwide.

The third day brought delegates beyond the Congress venue through community exposure, where they encountered different realities and reflected on the importance of listening, service, and understanding lived experiences. The day also featured Habi: Where Journeys Intersect, Vocations Weave, which invited participants to reflect on the different ways vocation can be expressed through the personal sharing of four resource persons on their work, service, and life.

On the fourth day, participants strengthened connections through team-building and visioning activities before entering the final formation session, Kalas: Reigniting Our Spark and Purpose. The day also included the elections of the Young Leaders’ Circle and Samahang Lasalyano, along with commitments and activities that marked the culmination of the Congress journey.

The five-day gathering concluded with a closing Eucharistic Celebration at Santuario de La Salle, giving delegates an opportunity to give thanks for the relationships, lessons, and experiences shared throughout the Congress. As participants returned to their respective schools and communities, they carried with them new perspectives, strengthened connections, and a renewed commitment to bring the conversations and lessons of the Congress into action.
