One La Salle means a greater number of us working towards fulfilling our commitment to provide a human and Christian education to the young, especially in schools, with the service of the poor as priority, in order to evangelize and catechize, and promote peace and justice.

One La Salle is unity and not uniformity. It does not seek to stereotype Lasallians into one rigid character but rather highlight in each one the fundamental values of Lasallian identity: the spirit of Faith, zeal for Service, and
Communion in mission.

We dream of schools where truth is given the highest value and equality is lived, of schools that nurture those who seek learning to ensure dignity of life. This we hope to realize by engaging our school communities in a sincere dialogue. Ultimately, we hope to make this happen for the countless Filipino children who might not be
given the opportunity to share in this dialogue or even dream for themselves.

This inspiration is drawn from the story that began with our Founder, St. John Baptist de La Salle, more than 300 years ago. Although born to a wealthy family, he was aware that many children during his time were not as fortunate as he was. In response to a great need to make quality education accessible to all, especially the poor, he gave up his possessions and, together with the Christian Brothers, put up the first Lasallian schools.
The One La Salle Scholarship Fund campaign is the Philippine Lasallian Family’s commitment to continue the same mission.
Our goal is to raise One Billion Pesos by the year 2011 to support and send about 18,000 scholars to our 17 Lasallian schools all over the country. This may seem like an ambitious target but, by working together, we can fulfill this great mission. This is an invitation for you to share and support the One La Salle Scholarship Fund campaign. Just as St. La Salle worked for the realization of this dream together with those who believed in the cause, we pray that we could be partners in this worthwhile endeavor.
