An institution dedicated to health care education and research, the De La Salle Health Sciences Institute (DLSHSI) is a consistent producer of Board Topnotchers in the fields of Medicine, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Radiologic Technology and Midwifery. It became a District School in 1987 when the Hermano San Miguel Febres Cordero Medical Educational Foundation, Inc. acquired ownership of the Emilio Aguinaldo College of Medicine located along Congressional Road in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

The University Medical Center (UMC) located within the campus acts as the teaching hospital of DLSHSI. UMC is the first ISO:9001 certified hospital in the Philippines.
